Physical Education (P.E.)

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

The school believes that physical education, experienced in a safe and supportive environment, is a unique and vital contributor to a pupil’s physical development and well-being. 

The school already provides opportunities for children to compete in a range of sports, such as: football, netball, athletics and cross-country; however the new sport funding will enable even more children to access high quality P.E. both within and outside curriculum time.

This will be achieved by: funding for lunch and afterschool clubs; cover for professional development; purchase of quality assured teaching resources and support to enable all children to swim to an appropriate standard or be ‘signposted’ to support, to help families to obtain further advice.

The percentage of children below can confidently swim over 25 meters.
